Mobility Service – Gateway to the world for passengers with mobility limitations

About our Mobility Service

Travelling is all about flexibility and freedom. As a service provider at Munich Airport, we launched our Mobility Service in 2008 to ensure that people with physical and mental disabilities can also take advantage of this freedom. Our staff provide assistance for passengers with limited mobility on their way to the aircraft and in the terminal building, helping them with accessibility issues and ensuring a smooth, beginning or end of their travel.

We use a highloader to take our passengers directly to the aircraft.

Europe-wide service free of charge

Under EU Regulation (EC) 1107/2006, Mobility Service support is free of charge throughout Europe for all air passengers with limited mobility. This is made possible by the inclusion of a minimum contribution for airport Mobility Service support in all flight ticket prices.

Our strong team

Our staff are always ready and waiting to assist around 1,000 air passengers with limited mobility every day. Our colleagues on site at the airport combine a high service mentality with extensive technical skills in their work.

For people with mobility limitations, every form of mobility is important. Our Mobility Service is therefore an important contribution. Many people associate travel with a feeling of freedom; it is an essential part of their quality of life. We believe everyone has a right to freedom. This is our motivation.
